ABOUT ME

I'm currently working as a research associate (wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin) in a German non-proft that provides counseling for kids in crisis. My background is in Psychology and Data Science and since I really enjoy working with peolpe I want to grow further in the psychology direction, focus my work more in that area and also purse becoming a psychotherapist.

I havent seen a lot of this world yet but I hope that I'll do a lot of travelling in the next ten years.
I love Berlin a lot lot lot but I want to live in as many places as possible and see the world. I grew up in an international community and really enjoy sitting in a room and hearing many different languages at once :)
I've spent a few years abroad, studied in the Netherlands and travelled and lived in South America for a bit before returning back to Berlin. After a few years here I'm starting to feel like it's time for a change again, so I'm currently applying for master's degrees in South Germany and Switzerland.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live by these principles, even if it doensn't always work, but I see them as ideals to strive towards:

Be yourself and go with what feels right.
Live in the moment and try to observe whats going on around you with as little judgment as possible. We are so fast to judge other's actions but we rarely think of the circumstances that cause certain behavior. This is why observing and accepting neutrally without judgement is something to be striving for at all times.

Acceptance is a big thing. Someone once said: "Expectations are man's greatest misery". How true! Disappointment and anger often arise because we had certain expectations that weren't fulfilled and we don't accept the situation as it is. Putting your energy in acceptance is a lot more useful in my opinion because investing the same energy in anger or disappointment won't change the situation. All you can change, is the way you react to the situation.
