About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live, love, experience, travel, remember, befriend, laugh, see, hear, smell, enjoy, keep going
ABOUT ME
I never feel comfortable describing myself but I will give it a try. I am a very fun and easygoing person. I am usually pretty extroverted and thrive in social settings but can also enjoy the quiet of being alone. I like to have fun and can get a little wild sometimes. I try to see the humor in things and not take life too seriously. I am a very open minded and liberal person - maybe too much for a guy from Texas. I can tend to be ultra competitive at boardgames for some reason.
PHILOSOPHY
We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. -Japanese Proverb
And of course, live and let live. That's always a good one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not participated in a while but would like to get back into the swing of things. I like going to meetings and hosting and surfing!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I fell in love with couchsurfing and the couchsurfing community while living in Prague. I started by going to the group meetings and then hosting and surfing. I have had nothing but good experiences and would like to experience more. This is a great way to meet amazing people and see the world.
Interests
What really engages me and keeps me going are relationships with people. I love meeting and talking with new, different kinds of people. My friends and family are very important to me. Nothing in life is better than a good conversation, even if it is with a stranger. I also just like to try new things and experience as much as I can in life. I don't want to miss out on anything! I like exploring new places, swimming, diving, glassblowing, snowboarding, surfing, camping, going to concerts, seeing and talking about movies and many other things. I've never really been able to get into watching sports but I sure wish I could.

Music, Movies, and Books
yes, yes, yes. We can talk about these things when we meet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What a huge question. When I was 13 I saved up over $1000 by washing cars so I could go to Australia and New Zealand as a student ambassador. That experience changed my entire view of the world - realizing there was one. It was my first time abroad and now I live and work overseas so that whole experience seemed to have had a major impact on my life. Sometimes it is just the little things that you will remember forever. I went sleding down a hill in a bathtub in Stromovka park in Prauge at 3 in the morning. I spent a month canoeing every night until the sun came up with my friends in the rain in flooded paths outside of my college town. I swam with a whale shark in the Gulf of Mexico. I drank ayahuasca with a shaman in Peru. That was definitely a big one and I think could fall in to the both amazing things done and seen categories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, glassblowing, snowboarding, and singing badly but not caring. I would love to learn Spanish, Italian, German, and how to juggle.
