About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Backpack on a shoestring throughout Europe

ABOUT ME

A Malaysian Chinese graduate studying in Ireland doing his MBA. I hold a MBA in International Business Management.
Boring Accounting and Applied Finance bachelors background from University of South Australia.

Boring? yeah :P

I could literally write a book with all my travel and journeys done. There's just so much to share and tell!
Moving from United States to New Zealand and then to Ireland over the past 3 years.
Work and lived in 4 different continents and been intensively travelling all these while, the stories and people I have met is something I treasured most!

I am trying to interrail on a shoe string budget and would really appreciate if you could provide assistance. A pillow under my head or just a place to shower sometimes is what a backpacker really need.
I'm planning to travel across europe in starting from the Scandinavia from May 28th about a week or two and then Spain and Portugal for a week or two and then Central Europe, Greece, and finally Turkey.
I mostly will be travelling by train.
Trying the best to see as much as I can within a short period of time and getting the best out of it!

I have a huge passion for travelling and I just couldn't stop after I started.
Being to most part in USA and also Oceania (Aussie, NZ, Fiji, Samoa)
I am still trying to conquer Europe and I need your help!

I grew up in Malaysia, a multiracial country, hence i'm able to speak 6 languages fluently.
Judge me not for I have stories and experience to share and I am certain you too have things to share too!

Being a past participant of the cultural exchange programme and also the new Zealand working holiday scheme, I get to know all sort of fun people from all around the world and I wish to keep adding them to my list! Of course I hope someday I could show you around the place I call home too when you visit Malaysia!

Hopefully by the age of 30 I am able to proudly say I have been to all over the world!

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.I havent been everywhere, but it's on my list.-Susan Sontag "Without new experiences, something inside of us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken.- Frank HerbertTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined a friend couchsurfing while i'm on an excahnge programme in the United States. The host was a friendly female, brought us to the Peace Film Festival in Orlando (2010) & dinner.
That awesome experience inspired me since then.

The more I travel the more friends I made and the network just grew bigger and bigger.. it feels great to know almost every corner in the world there's something that you called them a friend!

Teach, Learn, Share

Literally worked and lived in four different continents with very different cultural background.
I have spent time living in US, New Zealand, and Ireland so far. I have a different perspectives in seeing your culture and its good to see from other lenses. Yeah, we can do some sort of cultural exchange thing :P and CS is a really great way of doing this!

I grew up in a multiracial country where I'm nurtured with all sort of customary, culture and rituals, be it from the Chinese, Westerns or the local Malays. I'm sure there's something to be shared and get you interested! And oh! the food from Malaysia.. don't get me started! they are awesome!:)

I speak 6 languages, well versed, but I am still hoping someday I am able speak Spanish and Italian!
I can teach you Chinese Mandarin if you want to
