ABOUT ME

About me? Well...I'm outgoing, fun, and I love to laugh. :) The best part about me is that I'm enjoying life to the fullest and making a point to do the things I love. I love helping people, going new places, and spending time trying new things. From sitting around watching movies all night to helping clean up after a hurricane to spending a summer working a day camp in California, to spending a year in Albania teaching ESL, I'm up for it. Hopefully my couch surfing experience will increase in the near future. :)

PHILOSOPHY

My parents taught me the importance of values and people. I hold my faith, my values, and my morals very close. Be honest with me or we won't get along. Think about other people, not just yourself. You can learn something from every person you meet.

I'm not the most active of the CS community, but my CS experiences have been great so far. I can't wait to see where it takes me and who it brings me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far all of my experiences have been a lot of fun! My host was awesome where I stayed and the people I've hosted was great. All experiences have made me want to keep trying this!

MOVIES--I'll watch pretty much anything
MUSIC-- I have a wide sense of music appreciation so I'll try listening to anything. I guarantee I'll listen to anything you can shake it to! Plus a lot of other stuff from the Pussycat Dolls to Jim Brickman, Beyonce to Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts to Eminem, Kirk Franklin to Dave Barnes and just about everything else in between.
BOOKS--I read for fun, not to some deep meaning or symbolism, and definitely not to be an "academic." Reading is for enjoyment. Let's keep it that way. ;) My favorite books are To Kill A Mockingbird, The Phantom of the Opera, The Harry Potter Series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, and the Twilight Series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week gutting houses in New Orleans, Louisiana about 5 months after Hurricane Katrina hit. I saw things I never even could have imagined. It changed my life by making me realize how important strangers can be. There is more you can learn from serving or helping someone than you can ever learn in a book or from advice someone gives you.
