About Me

Ok so I've been forced to edit this section a bit so that there is no confusion when you come through to stay with me... I've had quite a few guests so far and honestly everyone has been awesome, but I do need to clear up a few things. First when you come to stay I'm really going to put a cap on it of 2 days. I'm not doing this to be an ass, but truthfully I really need my alone time and I think two days is enough time to find another spot to land, plus my cat will be utterly confused by the whole situation.

I'm happy to give you advice on where to go and if I'm free but I'd love it if you had your own plans and weren't just hanging out at the place. I mean you are on vacation right? Why would you want to stay indoors anyway? Go out and see stuff for crying out loud! I'm not too far from the beach (15 minute metro ride to Santa Monica from my place) and some of the best beaches in the country are biking distance away on a nice bike trail. You can also take the metro downtown, to hollywood, or to many other places in the city.

Now about me...I'm 39 I'm a writer / actor and comic and I've lived in California all of my life. Love meeting people and recently got bit by the travel bug (Dublin, London, Paris). I had such an amazing experience traveling outside the US for the first time in my life I thought it would be cool to try and open up my doors for others to maybe travel outside their country as well.

I have a large studio on the west side of Los Angeles. It may not look it from the pics but it's a pretty huge room and I have a kitchen that's the size of a bedroom in itself. I've got a pool at my building, a washer and dryer that you can use if you get the key from me and there are great restaurants and bars right at the end of my street.

Lastly, I do have a Cat who is very dear to me. I got him during the pandemic and he's kinda my world right now so I need to make sure you aren't allergic and that you are very careful when entering and exiting the place. That's pretty much it!

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Again I just want to allow people the opportunity to see other parts of the country or world without having to spend a ton of money on a hotel...and even the money you spend on a hostel can cut into a travel budget a bit so I'm up to help out any way I can. Hopefully other world travelers will do the same to help me out :)

Interests

I love music (can talk about it all day) movies, comedy (obviously) being outdoors hiking, riding bikes, hanging out at the beach. I'm not a big drinker these days but I'll have a beer or two or a glass of wine if that's what everyone is drinking, I just don't get 'hammered' or anything like that anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Punk Rock is my main love, but I really like all music because I think it all has a great place in my life in some capacity. Some favorites...

Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, Hopesfall, Hammock, The Album Leaf, Hot Rod Circuit, MXPX, Thrice, Millencolin, Helios, AFI, The Ataris, Hall and Oates, don't get me started I'll never stop...

Books I'm on lately 'The Unteathered Soul' "The Art of Happiness" "The Surrender Experiment"

Movies...again I can go all day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't call it amazing necessarily but I love being a comic. I've been doing it for 10 years now and it's something that I'm very proud of. I really love making people laugh and I'm very happy to be able to call myself a semi-successful comic.

Teach, Learn, Share

Again, I don't have a ton of disposable cash so I'm not going to be able to share really any of my food with you...I wish I could but I'm on a pretty tight budget. Also I'm a tidy guy so It would be great if you didn't leave stuff laying around. I do from time to time but I hope I'm allowed... 😬

If whoever stays wants to go to some stand up comedy shows I can definitely show you where to go, and if you'd like to try stand up I can help with that too. It's a great thing to do and worth trying if you have interest. If you are interested in seeing the sights I know some but not all and if I'm around and have the time I'm happy to cruise around and show you the city. I do think it's better to go off the beaten path though and see the non touristy stuff, however there are some cool tourist attractions that are pretty awesome to see. All depends on preference.

I'm always down to help you learn some english, or get better. Happy to tell you cool places to check out and fun things to do. I've lived in this city for a long time so I know it quite well (especially west LA where I live) so hopefully I can point you in a good direction if needed. I have a couch and a couple pillows and blankets for you if you need them. also I have an air mattress and camping air mattress if you need any of that stuff or would feel more comfortable sleeping on the floor. Totally your call.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Shower / Weed / Coffee / Blankets, Pillows, Couch, Air Mattress / Music / TV / WiFi

If you have any questions or want me to clear anything up lemme know and I'll be happy to. Happy surfing all...hang ten!
