About Me
Hi there!
I'm a language teacher from Munich, Germany who has been living in London for over a year now. In October I got married to my wonderful husband Paul, who I've met walking the Camino de Santiago in 2017.
I've hosted and I've surfed, made wonderful friends and had amazing one-time meetings with people, have learned a lot and have gained more trust in humanity through Couchsurfing.
I'm a spiritual person.
My favourite activities: deep conversations, gaining new insights about myself and the world, exchanging views and ways of living, exploring new cultures, walking, travelling, marvelling at the beauty of nature and human achievements; also, running, Yoga and Pilates, ecstatic dancing/5rhythms, cooking, baking and eating!
I used to like partying, but nowadays, I prefer just meeting up with people without the intoxication, going on walks together, cooking, being creative, or just some peace and quiet.
I would describe myself as easy-going, calm, independent, slow-paced, thankful, open-minded and passionate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the adventure of spending some time with a stranger in their home. There is always a teaching in both surfing and hosting. I love the initial awkward feeling when you first meet up and get to know each other, I love the co-creation of the whole experience, how it always unfolds to something beautiful and unexpected. People dropping in and out of your life, the unforgettable memories, life lessons exchanged, boundaries overcome, the courage needed, and the integrated compassion training.
Interests
I'm interested in Psychology, Spirituality, Shamanism, Mindfulness, Meditation, Communication, I love Art (Drawing, Photography), Music (Florence & the Machine, Adele, Sia, Opera, Medicine Music), Literature (good old Shakespeare, Eckhart Tolle, Geneen Roth, Pema Chödrön, all I can find about CPTSD, Consciousness, Personal Development, Language and the mind).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first time couchsurfing (in Strassbourg), I overlooked one day when planning, got panicky, but then I was invited to do a bike trip to a wine festival with fellow surfers, had an amazing time and slept in a tent in the host"s garden.
Once when backpacking, I met two tipsy French sisters in Roma at a bus stop. During the 5 minutes on the bus, they invited me to come to Montpellier, which I did, it was a blast!
Walking the Camino de Santiago, I met my soul mate, 3 days before Santiago, and by the time we arrived there, we knew it was meant to be. We got married the 4th October 2019.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that things happen for a meaning.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook you a nice meal, teach you some things in German/French/English if you like, shut up and listen or tell you stories or show you some quirky mixed drinks with beer!
