Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world a better place
VISION
A world that encourages trust, adventure, humanity and intercultural connections.
ABOUT ME
I live my life to make others happy, which in turn provides me with happiness. From the very depth of my heart, I view life in this way: 'I am only one, but still, I am one. I cannot do everything, but still, I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.' (Helen Keller)
I am the founder and policy director of the Subornogram Foundation, a social and human rights organization based in Sonargaon that works with non-privileged women and children, marginalized communities, and to establish a knowledge-based society in Bangladesh. In my spare time, I like to read books, write poetry, travel, watch movies, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. I have a passion for friendship and relationships with the various people I meet through life.
Currently, I am living in South Korea. I completed my Master's in Human Rights at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea. Next semester I am going to start my Ph.D. at the same university.
PHILOSOPHY
I think Couchsurfing is not only for a free stay, but it also more like to make friends, exchange cultures and know the world widely and deeply.
Travel light, travel cheap, travel like a true local with respect for other's cultures. Cultural differences are beautiful additions to the world. The mind is the best weapon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling, also like to host interesting people around the world. CS is a platform to meet wonderful people and also a great opportunity to make new friends, understand multi-culturalism. My dream is to explore the whole world someday! Through this Couchsurfing platform, I would love to get a local perspective on things. That's the reason why I am on Couchsurfing.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing when I travel and hosting when I'm not traveling. Meeting travelers or whoever that want to meet up. Joining interesting local activities.
