Overview
About Me
I am 27 years old, living in Karachi, Pakistan. I am extremely fond of histories and cultures of different people and civilizations and tend to read a lot of books related to these topics. I also love to travel but have not been able to travel internationally much and wish to change that now. I am mostly interested in travelling to places close to nature and love to camp and hike in remote areas.
As someone extremely talkative and a genuine foodie, I am generally someone fun to be around with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel. The reason for that is that I am someone who is generally intrigued by different cultures, their traditions and their histories. This is why I love to meet new people. People who have completely different tastes in food, music, arts etc. and have very different backgrounds in terms of language, history, culture, traditions etc.
I believe that traveling is not only going to a specific city or town and staying at a hotel and enjoying the views and sights, but also to know the people, live with them and experience their city with them. This way one gets to experience the city as an insider/local and not just a tourist. For a tourist experiences the city or place in a very superficial manner whereas I like to experience the place in a more intimate sense.
Before discovering Couchsurfing, I thought that Airbnb would give me the experience that I wanted. However, I soon realized that Airbnb provided a cheap solution for accommodation but it rarely provided the experience I sought. It was only after being dissatisfied with Airbnb that I started to look for other possible options and to my delight found Couchsurfing.

Once rescued a small baby sparrow that was unable to fly and had dropped off its nest and injured itself. I had it for two weeks almost and when it had fully recovered I freed it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with hosts the rich historical background and the cultural diversity of the people of the sub-continent. The different cultures, sects, religions, all existing together in relative harmony. I can also share with hosts the sufi spiritual music, its importance in the sub-continental culture and how it has evolved during thousands of years. I can also share the rich culinary experience of the people of Karachi and can make several dishes (given that the ingredients are available. Also our recipes our generally very spicy).
