Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Shai- I am a curious, creative, social justice oriented human, and generally spend my time in a combination of traveling, exploring nature, and performing (I sing, act, and dance primarily!) . I work at a systems change oriented non-profit, but am hoping to eventually transition to performing full time.
I love connecting with people in different places to learn new perspectives, and even though I can be quiet sometimes (more the "museum/ hiking" type instead of partying/bars), I am quite partial to deep chats with new people and exploring places from a local perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been on and off couchsurfing for the last 5 years and to me, couchsurfing represents the best parts of humanity-- especially in these polarizing times where we are all kind of in scarcity mindsets, I love to meet people who open their homes to strangers and want to connect with different kinds of individuals.
Interests
I like learning new things, building justice oriented community and exploring the world- I like looking for opportunities to leave things better than when I found them. I try to apply this concept to people too!
As far as interests, I'm pretty all over the place. Here are a variety of things that I am passionate about: backpacking, burlesque, aerials/ circus, singing, dance, watercolors, reading, yoga, meditation, slacklining, anthropology, reading, running
