Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding balance in life, particularly how to contribute to a more just world while undertaking creative pursuits, and doing what matters to me most: time with my dog, family and friends, being part of nature, reading and enjoying good food.
ABOUT ME
I've done a bit of traveling over the years. I studied and continue to be endlessly intrigued by culture, anthropology, cities/urbanism, economic justice, really how humans live in so many diverse places and ways. I get around mostly by bicycle.
PHILOSOPHY
Do something meaningful with your work, don't work too much, always be learning, love others, care for the earth and its creatures, find balance and be joyful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've mostly hosted which has been really great. When being hosted, I love having a connection to some local people when I'm visiting someplace new. I've got good stories to share and love nothing more than a quality conversation.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My apartments in La Paz, Bolivia were quite the hub of couchsurfing activity from 2007-2010. I've made good friends as well as great roommates through the website and hope to keep meeting great, like-minded folk.
I get around mostly by bicycle so for the past few years I've been hosting people through WarmShowers, which has been very fun!
Interests
throwing parties, cooking, eating good food, laughing with my sister, hanging out with my dog, writing, talking politics with intelligent people, speaking spanish. I love cities and I also love nature, hiking and camping and wildlife.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I swam with pink dolphins in the Bolivian pampas. I am in love with my former street dog I adopted in Bolivia, named Puma. I have had only interesting jobs.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about the two cities I've spent my young adulthood in: La Paz, Bolivia and Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'd love to share my experiences, and I love to hear about other people's life experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will absolutely answer any questions about American culture and politics. I come from a big family so I am easy to get along with, used to sharing and helping. I am always happy to return any favor and provide advice about the many places I've lived or visited.
