About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Torino.

ABOUT ME

I am a 26-year-old student from Essen who studied in Bayreuth. I used to work as a media designer but in 2012 I moved to Bavaria, where I spent most of my time in the library with my head on a bunch of books, sleeping or looking out of the window. When I was seventeen I lived in Louisiana for 5 months where my oreo ice cream addiction started. In 2014 I spent an awesome semester in Sweden and in 2016 I studied one semester in Torino Italy. It was both an amazing experience. I like people who are fun and long talks on warm summer nights with a glass of cheap aldi wine make me happy. People who don't drink coffee confuse me. I belong to the minority of people who don't like Berlin. And I don't like facebook. When I am old I want to move to a small little house on the countryside with a bunch of cats, horses and a goat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of getting to know a place in a not touristy way that lets you get a more local view on a city. Unless I am not super busy with my university stuff (which means beeing on campus from 8 to 10 at night) or out of town (I spend a lot of time abroad) I am open for hosting interesting personalities at my appartment and give them a local experience. Nevertheless when I travel myself I have experienced that a lot of people just ignore you when you try sending them surfing requests which makes me question why the people are members on couch surfing in the first place. Sometimes it seems like impossible to couchsurf in certain areas. Furtunately I/we have always found somebody nice to host us and each individual stay was a fantastic experience and I will always be greatful. :)
– Right now I unfortunately am a traveler myself and have no place to host. That will hopefully chance once I have my own place again.
