About Me

CURRENT MISSION

As I enter into my developmental years (66) I am beginning to accept myself for who I am, and to accept others as well. Its great. If I can spread some love and acceptance along the way, with a smile, then my mission is fulfilled.

ABOUT ME

Almost 66, I have had a great life. Two wives (one at a time) and two daughters (still have), lots of friends over the years. Now, practice meditation but not fanatical. Continue to view this life as an adventure, sometimes a drama, sometimes comedy. For the last 15 years have split time between Canada and Fiji with several forays into India and other parts of Asia. BREAKING NEWS: as of December 21st, 2012, married to Sangeeta. She shares my happiness in welcoming strangers to our home.

PHILOSOPHY

Accept people and situations as they are, its easier that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am in Fiji, I would welcome surfers to my couch. So far, my experiences in doing so have been amazing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thinking back on my life, I have always had people crashing on my couch, often to the chagrin of my wives. That was long before I had ever heard of couch surfing. Nice to see that there is a community of surfers and providers.

Interests

Spirituality, sports, understanding what makes people tick, understanding what makes me tick, meditation, my arbutus trees when on Saltspring Island in Canada, stuff like that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Opposite values are complimentary. Accept everything that comes into our lives. Without sorrow we could never know joy.
