Overview
About Me
I'm a 25 year old woman from Northern California. I've lived around nature and hippies all my life. I like to keep an open heart and mind with everything. I'm half black and half white, that makes me the best of both worlds. I'm a pretty mellow person naturally, but I love adventures, love to have a good time, make sure everyone else is having a good time. I'm trying to get out there as much as I can to see what this world has to offer and to really see what I can offer to the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It can be really hard being young and staying in one spot. I occasionally suffer from wanderlust. The world calls to me; and in this day and age traveling is accessible, expensive but accessible. I like to travel on the cheap. Also, staying with locals, in a home, seems more appealing than some impersonal hotel.
Interests
I'm feeling pretty crafty lately. I've been addicted to Pinterest for a few years, now I'm going back over and trying somethings out. Getting lost in a good book is great when you have time for it. I try to make time to read when I can. Love a good adventure book or something from the self-help section. Autobiographies are also a favorite, a great way to experience history is through the experiences of those who were there. One of the best ways to wake up to a beautiful morning, is when you're camping. Love sitting in front of fires, sleeping under the stars, swimming in rivers and being out in nature. Love hiking, baking, meeting new people, listening to stories, just experiencing life in the most fruitful ways possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a few amazing things. I've flown a C-130 over Maui, HI. I used to work for the US government. I helped build a church in Ensanada, Mexico. I've participated in the worlds largest drum circle. I've been to the ruins of Chiten Itza in Cancun. I'm full of great stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I'm not quite sure what I can teach you, I'm not too good at much of anything, I know a lot about some things. Maybe we can just figure things out together as we go along. I know, maybe that dosnt sound too promising, but like I said before, I like to have a good time. At least we'll be having fun, right?
Learn: Languages! I love that I can speak some Spanish and people understand me. I love that feeling. German just sounds amazing to me, thats a language I love hearing. I'd love to become fluent in both languages. I'd like to learn at least one instrument before I die. I kick myself for not learning in school when I had the chance. My goal for 2015 is to learn basic crocheting and to get better at crafts. I love the idea of making clothes, and making gifts for friends and family.
Share: I have lots of stories, thoughts and experiences to share. I also have a lot of love to give. I love my friends and I'd do anything to help them out. I make a really good friend. Which means I'm good at sharing. :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
My father always taught me to be considerate of others. From cleaning up after myself, to serving my elders before myself, to holding doors open and not standing in the middle of walkways. I love baking, I'm working on my cooking skills. I really like being in the kitchen, even if its washing dishes. I'm big on cleaning and organizing. Sometimes I can be a clutter bug, but I cant stand being in a mess for a long time. I'm pretty good with kids, but child care isnt something I'm particularly into. Meaning, if you have kids, great! I have tons of nieces and nephews, who I love as my own. However, I have no children right now for a reason.
