About Me

I live in Asheville NC USA, I'm a carpenter by trade but love all forms of craft. Wilderness adventures keep me sane. I am an animal lover but especially a dog lover. My happiest places are in the woods and by the ocean. I love traveling and meeting new amazing people all over the world, would much rather hang with the locals, catch a show and grab a beer than do all the tourist stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I worked my butt off all summer and promised myself a winter time blues adventure so I'm coming to PR for the first time

Interests

I love biking, camping, diggin in the dirt, DIY 4 life, makin music, seeing live music, dancing around like a fool, makin art, farming and gardening, conversations about food, conversations about...other things besides food, homesteading, adventure, spontaneity and sustainability.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different kinds of music from Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, Indie, Weird Experimental Noise, Punk, Metal and Oldies.

Movies: Tank Girl, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park (all the classics of course) I love all Wes Anderson films and Quentin Tarantino.

(Some of my favorite) Books: Brave New World, Wicked, Of Mice and Men, the mists of avalon, workin on MLK's biography

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I randomly bought a one way ticket to the Big Island of Hawai'i with no plan. On the first day I arrived I found a job on a farm and hitched around the island for 3 months doing work trade, sleeping in a hammock and having some of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a renaissance woman I'm always trying to learn new skills. I am very interested in Herbalism and have my own homemade natural cosmetic line and am always up to whip up some tinctures and lip balms.
I also recently started brewing kombucha which is pretty easy to get started. I have been a metal worker, jewelry designer and carpenter for a remodeling company for several years as well and am excited to trade skills with people I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and always wash my dishes! I'd like to share stories and hear about your adventures too! It would be super cool if you wanted to chill and hopefully one day I can host you as well!

Countries I’ve Visited

England, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Spain
