About Me
Let me first say, THIS IS NOT A DATING APP. If you message me not related to actual couchsurfing/traveling you will be immediately reported and blocked. That being said, most messages I receive are from random men from random countries soliciting, so my response rates low due to that. I will ALWAYS respond to serious inquiries.
Now. I love to travel and explore new places like the locals do with some touristy stuff sprinkled in here and there! I love Richmond for all its outdoor activities and central location in Virginia. I would love to host, depending on my work schedule, although there aren't a lot of opportunities for that so far because my city is so small unfortunately. But hopefully in the future it will pick up! I'm really interested in making more true human connections. Everyone is so focused on social media these days but they've forgotten how to interact with the real world, and I think that's something that Couchsurfing can bring to my life and vice versa.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend and I are planning a Europe trip this coming spring and have heard wonderful things about the couch surfing community! We really like the idea of Couchsurfing because we want to be able to meet really interesting people everywhere we go and be able to experience these places off the beaten path, see the things that aren't overcrowded, overpriced tourist traps. We want a true locals perspective on things to do, things to see, places to visit, Etc. We're really looking for people who have a true passion for their city and want to share it with others. When I travel, limited as that may be, I prefer to avoid tourist things and just explore a city spontaneously. That's when you find the coolest places and have the most interesting experiences! Couchsurfing interests us because we want to have an experience, not just somewhere to stay. Like staying with friends who can show you around.
Hosting interests me because I love meeting new people. Especially if they're from a different culture than I am. Our differences are what makes us all unique and interesting! I just find the idea of couchsurfing so fun! I mean, what better way to make new friends than to show someone your home or hometown and at the same time, give them a way to get to know someone/somewhere new for no other reason than its just fun?

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: bluegrass, Motown/Soul, jazz, anything catchy.
Movies: I love lots of movies, but I'm terrible at actually sitting down and watching them.
Books: I love to read, pretty much only fiction. My friend has really got me into fantasy novels and of course, I'm a girl, so I like romance. I just bought my first house and am converting my Den into a library!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in a 175 square foot camping trailer for two years while traveling around the U.S.
I once had a Mexican standoff with a wild horse in Iceland. We named her SheNeighNeigh.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation, enthusiasm for learning and travel, many cuddles for your dogs. I love music, so if you play an instrument I would be super into that. I am cheesy so I love karaoke and trivia nights. I love board games, card games, pretty much anything that is silly and fun!
