About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to finish my schooling at the University of Minnesota, Duluth for a B.A. in Environment and Sustainability. From there, who knows!

ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as the outgoing introvert. I have no reservations whatsoever to going outside of my comfort zone and pursuing what I have never experienced before. I enjoy the nature and deep thinking. My favorite band is probably Protest The Hero with Phinehas as a close second at the moment. I would call myself a freethinker and an agnostic, but honestly, I would enjoy conversation of any sort as long as its open for change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find couchsurfing to be a valuable tool for myself in traveling and for helping fellow travelers experience the Earth.

Interests

I enjoy things that make you think or experience something new or unexpected. Like new food for example. I like to read fiction or nonfiction. Lord of the Rings is a big one for me. Science fiction is always good too. I've recently grown an interest in plant life. I often like to just walk and think.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings (movies and books), The Hobbit (both), various nonfiction, Moon, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Wall E, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Step-Brothers, Happy Gilmore, any nature and environment related documentaries.

Music: Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, The Shins, Periphery, After the Burial, Born of Osiris, Protest the Hero, The Builders and the Butchers, Tyr, Flogging Molly, Alice in Chains,Willie Nelson, most of Power Metal (dragons!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd have to say my two months in Kenya and my few days In Croatia were probably the most memorable times of my life. I joined Global Vision International on a two month adventure in Kenya participating in a number of different projects that were absolutely amazing. In Croatia I met distant family who took me in for a few days as I made my way up the country from Split. I cannot express how much I appreciate what they did for me and I hope to one day return the favor.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Couchsurfers are welcome to my apartment, but I must say beforehand that it is not a big apartment. I have a small couch, pillows, and a sleeping bag for use. If this sounds acceptable, then get in touch and we can get a plan figured out.
