Overview
About Me
A full time economic journalist, a part-time traveller and blogger.
Perfectionist and workholic, I use my occupation as a tool to explore China.
Superficial but sophisticated, I use all kinds of holidays to see the world.
To briefly describe myself is hard :) I grew up as a typical Chinese student, working super hard to get into my fav college and then got an exciting job in Beijing. My daily schedule is pretty flexible or pretty tight, depending on the reports due dates.
I understand the essence of Chinese society and also love having fun with foreign friends. I enjoy a kind of life that I do my interested job, get off work on time to take a long walk or cycling, cook myself and socialize in weekends. Better with attractive shows and stylish clothes.
Still, a lot of hidden talents were inside waiting for u to discover. Looking forward to meeting new friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been in CS since 2010, so already 7 years. When I first started, I was still a college student, just thought the idea so cool to meet local people. After several trails, my first successful request was in NYC with an amazing host.
Since then I fell in love with this kind of travel. I surfed many couches and beds and I also hosted many people here in Beijing, even my previous host came to visit me.
So it's awesome feeling about the amazing connections with people around the world, and to know more about their countries. CS has become really important during my journeys, not just a free place to stay. So I do not host someone only looking for a free hotel (pls read more on my couch rules); and I do not surf someone's place for saving money.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Go deep into Antarctica for two months and reached the highest part of the continent, at a cost of not showering/eating only frozen food for 55 days;
Became the first Asian man to stand on the wings of a flying biplane to demonstrate aerobatics;
Play violin for more than 10 years;
Walking and hitchhiking from Lhasa to Chengdu;
And many other incredible and unbelievable things I've done during my 5-year journalist career, e.g. explosion, helicopter, south sea.
Ask me about these stuff and I'm sure it will be interesting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I wanna know the real life you are living everyday, no matter how different it is from mine. I hope my host or surfer can treat me like someone from his or her region and give me a totally fresh idea of the place. Sometimes our ideas crash but I do enjoy true words.
And, give me ur music if u think it's enough exotic and beautiful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you my own understanding of the Chinese society as well as the different lives millions of Chinese people are living; my travel stories and experience.
And I also enjoy talking some professional topics, e.g. Chinese economy, World economy, Marketing strategy, consumer psychology...
