And so to Nepal!
Greetings. I, a travelling English teacher, am looking to base myself in Kathmandu for the next few months. I'll be teaching English and (once I'm settled) looking for friends and hopefully host some fellow backpackers.
I'm 24 now. I've only been travelling for a relatively short while and I've so far tended not to stay in any one place very long. But for the time I'll spend in Nepal my priorities will be experiencing the culture, learning some of the languages and having what is colloquially referred to in Ireland as "the craic".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've come from a 6 month contract in Tashkent, Uzbekistan - a lovely and unique city with awesome people but (due to the country's draconian dictatorship) an excruciatingly quiet place. I'm therefore hoping that Kathmandu will provide something of a remedy for that. I'm on couchsurfing primarily as a way of meeting people and having someone to do activities with, whether by hosting or doing events.

Interests

Politics, Geography. Travel (obviously). I play badminton and do amateur drama but haven't been able to do either of these much since going abroad.
