ABOUT ME

I'm an Irish guy who has been traveling ever since finishing university. Over the past ten years I've lived in Australia, Thailand, Laos, Pakistan, Libya and Myanmar and I've visited a lot of other places.

PHILOSOPHY

I like spending time with people, trying to work out what life is all about. I love traveling, and I love wiping the slate clean and learning about entirely new cultures and outlooks.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined the CS community, since I have a deep interest in travel and in connecting with like minded people. I hope to meet up with plenty of fellow couch surfers on my travels to hang out together and explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like independent movies and documentaries. I like mostly non-fiction books, especially books on travel. Right now I'm reading about Sufi & Taoist philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the Kalash community in Pakistan. I've also taken part in a Buddhist monk's ordination procession in Thailand, conducted research into ethnic minority groups in remote parts of Laos and restored an Australian VW Beetle in Pakistan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Thai, cook Thai food, I know quite a bit about Thailand, Laos, Pakistan and Myanmar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my place right in the middle of downtown Yangon along with my knowledge of the city.
