About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live simply and simply live

ABOUT ME

Shane and Tara
It is very possible that we are the happiest people in the world. We have retired in our 40s and are now travelling the world with no plans to ever stop. We have met some super cool people on the way and shared great times. Some of the best moments have been with couch surfers, sharing a meal, a drink or two and becoming best friends for a night or a week, hopefully for ever! If we stay with you, we won't eat all the food in your fridge, we will never leave a dirty dish in your sink and we will try to do something nice so you will be happy to host us.
It's great to stay in hostels and meet other travellers, but there is something magic about being invited to stay in someone's home. We are constantly blown away by the generosity of complete strangers on couch surfing. Keep surfing people and keep hosting, thanks for the great moments.

PHILOSOPHY

Count me in, every step of the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been couchsurfing for years without even knowing it! Travellers have stayed with us in our spare rooms, on our couches, parked vans in our driveway... It is great to meet interesting people, share stories over a home cooked meal and glass of wine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surf and we host. Our favourite travelling experiences have been when we have been invited to share peoples homes. It feels so much more "real" to have a genuine invitation. We also love hosting people and have made some great friends this way.

Interests

Travelling to places where everything and everyone is different from what you know and expect.
