About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To die an old woman with no regrets!
ABOUT ME
I live in Minneapolis Minnesota with my husband Shaun and large cat Murray. I have worked primarily as an English as a second language teacher but I now train people on video surveillance software classes all around the world.
I like to go to events and happy hours around the world and get to know the people who live there. I'm personable and get along with most everyone.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe in living life to it's fullest even if that means a few uncomfortable adventures along the way. Life is 10% what happens to you, 90% how you react to it- I love that quote. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted a few groups of people in our home including a band on tour in the US. Stayed with some awesome people in Italy, France and Spain.
Because I travel so much, I like to stay active rather than watch reality TV in my hotel room. I like meeting people for drinks, and learning about their city from their point of view.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Backpacked throughout Australia and made some friends that we crashed with for a few nights. My husband and I love learning about how people really live as opposed to scratching the surface of a country and snapping meaningless photos. Often times it doesn't mater where you go, but who you meet along the way.
Interests
I like biking, jogging (even though I don't last long) and learning about new cities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Watching thousands of fireflies light up a humid rice patty on a Japanese mountain.
-Rubbing the furry belly of an outstretched kangaroo at Australia Zoo.
-Taking in the fanatic culture of an English soccer game!
-Getting a much needed hug from a stranger in Italy when I was having a very bad day!
-Finally learning how to just let go and have a beer when things don't go as planned.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy languages and am happy to help you practice English as well as learn your native language. I like cooking and learning new recipes.
