About Me
Looking back on the last two years of my life made me realize that I’m a woman in motion! I have jumped from San Francisco to Michigan to Chile to the deserts of Nevada, back to California, and back to South America again. I consider myself more of a migrant worker than a self-elected transient, and I love every opportunity I’ve happened upon that has allowed me to see new parts of the world, meet new people, and experience entirely different sides of life. Although being so uprooted has its downfalls, I count my blessings each time I meet another extraordinary person and see another beautiful thing.
My favorite thing about traveling? Breakfast! Whether I’ve slept like a rock or have been awake until sunrise, a good breakfast can do amazing things to the body and mind. One thing I’m proud of from being from the United States is our breakfast. Hot, cold, big, or small, we know how to do it right! And I am on a mission to find a region whose breakfast rivals ours. The challenge is on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted and surfed with a handful of fine people throughout my time in Kunming, China and Burlington, Vermont. And every time I relocate to a new city I always turn to CS for an initiation to the locale by attending events and meet-ups. It's a great way to make new friends!
Interests
ultimate frisbee, droppin' it like its hot, mossy outdoor places, reading, walking in the snow, writing letters, learning new languages, summer turning into autumn, winter turning into spring, letting people introduce me to music they love, being in good company, hearing good stories, arts-and-crafts bins, river banks, plant-insect interactions, problem solving
i have no interest in making lists of my interests.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh dear, too many. Let's talk about that if we meet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At one point of my life I lived in my tent, my car, or others' couches for about a year. It taught me much about preparedness and never again will I take for granted a warm bed and roof over my head.
