About Me
Born and raised in NY, but spent many years living out in sunny California. At the beginning of 2018, I decided to move back to NY, but having gotten used to the California climate I couldn't handle the cold and decided to move to Costa Rica for the winter. I work remote as a freelance software engineer, so it's worked out nicely as all I need to be happy is a bed, a bike, and wifi.
I'm an avid cyclist, and lately have been biking well over 200Km a week. I spent last winter cycle touring through Costa Rica and Panama, and up the east coast. Cycling is by far my favorite way to explore, and I haven't gone on any trip or vacation without a bike in years.
Let's go on a ride!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love meeting new people and hearing their stories of where they come from and why they currently live where they live. In a past life when I lived in San Francisco, I shared a home with 40 people: many lived there long term, but also many would only spend a month or two. I found that co-op living and sharing a space was a really great way to connect with someone. Same can be said for hostels, and I think Couchsurfing can be the same as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
I've recently been really into Audiobooks, though I tend to listen to autobiographies and non-fiction. One of the best autobiographies I've listened to recently was Grinding It Out, The Story of Ray Kroc (the guy who built McDonalds).
Otherwise I mostly read The New York Times, and listen to a wide array of music and the occasional podcast (99% Invisible, various food related podcasts, the standard NPR podcasts).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really enjoy cooking and baking, so I would absolutely love to cook and share a meal together :)
