About Me
I grew up on the beach in New Jersey and love anything and everything to do with the water- attempting to surf, kayaking, paddle boarding, drinking too much beer then trying and swim. You name it, I love it!
After I graduated college I woke up one morning, packed my things, and just started driving south! No plan, no job, no money, but I was unbelievably excited to start the next chapter of my life! I ended up right outside of Raleigh, NC. I have been teaching elementary school here for the past 6 years, and teaching is truly my life's work. I understand you can't change the life of every child, but I'm optimistic enough to wake up every morning with intent and purpose and try anyway. I teach at year round school, so that opens my schedule up to traveling and exploring every few weeks (amazing right?!?).
I think the most important about traveling is finding the beauty and uniqueness in new places. This means getting away from hotels and staying with and talking to locals. I love and appreciate culture and am always down to explore, hike, swim, grab a drink, and experience a new place in its entirety.
Feel free to add me on Snapchat (sjesequel) and instagram (shannonjesequel). If we are in the same area at the same time, maybe we can meet up and explore!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music. Sounds cliche and generic right? But, it's totally true. I sing, so if you play an instrument we will get along just fine!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I teach 8 year olds- that's amazing and slightly insane. That has to count.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a big personality and a big laugh. I like to have a great time as often as possible, so if you're down to explore and share what you love then I would be forever appreciative!
