Hi! My name is Shannon, I have severe wanderlust and am addicted to traveling. My mom works for the airlines so I have been traveling since before I could walk! I just graduated from college, and decided that before I start my career and settle down, I need one last big trip hurrah in the form of a backpacking trip through Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time traveling completely on my own dime, and Couchsurfing seems like a safe and affordable way to be able to make this trip a reality.

I've always been a firm believer that the best way to experience a new place is by relying on the people who really KNOW the place. The locals who live there know the best possible way to experience that city. In Chicago, I know the best places to eat, drink, dance, sight see, go for a walk, etc. I want somebody who knows all that in the cities I am visiting. I don't want to have to rely on Trip Advisor for finding the best things to do.
