About Me

I’m a diehard coffee enthusiast with a deep connection to cities and the experiences they offer. I also collect vinyl’s and enjoy old school Polaroid photography as hobbies. I have a passion for educating people from around the world about the magnificence of South Africa and changing the misperceptions associated with the country.

I absolutely love getting lost, exploring & discovering new things. I am slightly OCD about a lot of things in life but my constant attempts to overcome this has made my life quite entertaining. I'm definitely a cat person although I truly adore all animals. I do have a slight fear of birds & a gigantic fear of clowns.

I love plants & I especially love ivy covered houses.. They seem alive to me. I'm Instagram obsessed so I take picture all day long of all sort of things & I enjoy good company with good, fun loving people who I can learn from without being taught.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find the concept of couchsurfing very interesting and I truly believe such type of experiences can enrich a persons life and also society. I believe couchsurfing will provide me with magnificent experiences that money simply cannot buy.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts of movies I like unless its a boring movie, then I consider it nap time.

I love all kinds of music expect for metal.. My heart feels the stories of country music though. Lately I have been obsessed with classical waltz and orchestra type music on vinyl.

I love all John Green books though I must confess, I do not read very often. So far my favourite book has been Paper Towns by John Green, though it was sort of ruined for me when they made a movie of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three days after I had a hip surgery I packed my bags in a matter of minutes (which normally takes me a day or two since I tend to plan every single step) and hopped in a 4x4 with four of my best friends to embark on a road trip to Robertson. We managed to visit nearly every wine farm and a brewery in the middle of nowhere in a matter of 3 days. We also got lost on two occasions and visited the biggest cactus garden in the world. I was in heaven.

Needless to say wine, champagne, beer, cacti, and crutches make for one hell of a good time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to think I have some good company to share and a helping hand to lend out where possible, as well as some amazing stories and experiences that the right person could learn from.

I myself want to enrich my life by learning from the cultures and experiences of my fellow humans.
