About Me

Currently planning a trip round Europe for a couple months! UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy are all on my potential travel list.

I've just finished a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Regenerative Agriculture in Australia. I love meeting new people and hearing their opinions on the world, humanity, and agriculture. I also love getting out into nature and adventuring, especially walking. Some nice live music is also always enjoyable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love finding new interesting people to connect with so that I can hear their stories and quiz them on the world at large. I also enjoy the company sometimes when traveling (as I often tend to travel on my own). Staying with locals is also a great way to understand the area and community better and get good recommendations on whats worth visiting as a tourist or getting the local gossip/folk lore that's relevant to location.

One day, when I'm in the right position to, I look forward to being able to host couch surfers too to give back to the community and maybe force me into keeping my house in a slightly more tidy fashion (haha...)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love basically all music - from the small town folk signers, to the sold out arena pop stars, a little bit of screamo/heavy metal here and there, and a good classical orchestral piece. Current favourites include; Imagine Dragons, Hozier, Bring me the Horizon, Thundergods of the Multiverse, First Aid Kit, Eminem (a guilty pleasure),Grandson, Dire Straights, La Dispute

Movies are pretty great too, I tend to avoid anything too graphic or scary. Favourites are usually kids movies (Spirit, Howls Moving Castle). I indulge in a good drama occasionally too, like the Netflix series 'Maid'

Books!! So good. Currently reading more non fiction books often about farming or philosophy. Would love to get back into the realm of fantasy if I get recomended a good one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was this one canyoning trip I went on with some family friends (who were all much older than me). It was such a good experience. So so cold, and wet for the whole day. It was a decent walk to the beginning of the canyoning section early in the morning and then plunging into the water over and over, bouncing over rocks. There was something a bit thrilling about the lack of overbearing safety as well (as it was just organised by some young 20 something year old guy) - it was down to individuals to not do anything too crazy, and if anything got out of hand the group would be there to support. First time I did any cliff jumping too, and I swear the only reason I was able to do it was because I was so exhausted I had no space to be fearful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, company, debates, a simple card or board game. I can also happily do the dishes or other small tasks. Maybe cook a meal, but I live on a very frugal budget and my cooking is anything but fantastic! (most likely edible at the very least)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, England, Iceland, Scotland, South Africa, United Kingdom, Wales
