Shannon and Paulie

Hey! I'm Shannon, a sculptor from Sydney, Australia, with South American heritage. I'm a stone carver, but somehow seem to find myself on the peripheries of indie film sets, doing something art department related. I love learning and am currently trying to learn Swedish as Paulie and I have some really good friends living in Sweden.

Paulie is a filmmaker, he writes, acts, produces, the whole bit. He is a comedian at heart and will always be trying to make you laugh.

We've been travelling for the last 6 or so months. For the last 3 months we've been on an artist residency in Cork, Ireland, and loving our time there, but we are really keen to meet some people and share some new experiences.

We're on Couchsurfing because we'd love to connect with people from all around the world. We feel like you can't truly experience a culture without trying to understand and experience community. We want to expand our worldview by being open to different thoughts, ideas and experiences.

If you're up for it I'd love to share some art lessons! I usually travel with materials, so I could show you some basics in sketching or painting. Of course if desired I can help with your English as a native speaker myself. My Spanish is intermediate but if you're a beginner I could share what I know with you there too :)
