Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE to fully immerse myself while traveling and that means getting off of google and connecting with local people who really know the area. I am interested in counter culture, exclusive hiking spots, and meeting new people who can inspire me on my journey of life.
I also believe that every dollar spent is a vote casted. While traveling, every dollar counts and I have to ask myself what I am supporting. Suddenly things like hotels with 5 star ratings become obsolete and forming life long memories and bonds take the forefront.

Interests

People interest me. How they think, what motivates them, how they act, how their past shapes them, how they view themselves, etc.
Music is a huge passion of mine. I love to sing, dance, drum, and actively listen. I love finding music in the wind, in the mumbled chaos of voices in a restaurant, in the clinking trees of the forest.
I am fascinated by nature and all of its wonders. I love to hike and to push myself and my body past its self imposed limits.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently riding the electronic music wave.
Bass music speaks to my soul. As music continues to evolve, so does my taste though I have a DEEP appreciation for the roots; soul, jazz, reggae, roots, rock, etc.
I LOVE discovering new music but right now some of my favorite artists include Bonobo, Maribou Sate, Regina Spektor, Amy Whinehouse, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Easy Star All Stars, Om Unit, and basically anything coming out of the UK or west Coast booty bass.
I scarcely bombard my mind with unnecessary violence, it just doesn't make me feel good so I've really started filtering my intake over the last few years. I love thought provoking movies, light hearted comedies, documentaries, and self help books.
Some favorite movies include K Pax, Cloud Atlas, and The Pink Panther (lol).
