ABOUT ME

We are the product of 20 years of a conscious loving soulmate relationship - married for 16 of those years.

We took a leap of faith a few years ago, downsized out of a 3 bedroom home in suburbia and decided to have the adventure of our lifetime. We hit the road in the Summer of 2015 in our GMC Savana Conversion Van (Gypsy) and traveled the the country for 14 months! We camped as much as possible and visited many of our countries National Parks and other wonders. We now live in Oregon, just outside of Salem and are enjoying the beautiful diversity of this state, hiking as often as we can and loving the rain!

We are very open minded, easy going, grounded, and spiritual in nature. We practice meditation, open honest communication, understanding and compassion. Open minded, open hearted, generous, clean & respectful.

We are both artists, have an internet business and we homeschool our daughter, so that she can grow up to be a creative free spirit. At this time my husband is focusing on launching his artistic photography business, following his passion. I am also an artist and make my living creating beautiful headpieces for brides to wear on their wedding day! I teach Meditation, sing Kirtan, and host Goddess Gatherings to empower and support women in becoming all that they can be!

We also have 1 small dog that is a part of the family. His name is Rumi and he is super well behaved and social with other dogs.

We are looking to connect with others and enrich each other's lives. Whether it's the simplicity of good company, sharing laughs, and getting to know each other, or the complexity of discussing the mysteries of this wondrous universal human experience.

We enjoy meeting and connecting with a diverse range of personalities. With adventurous and easy going spirits like ours. We love learning about others' lives. Everyone has an interesting and worthwhile story to tell.

We are clean and respectful and wife is one hell of a great cook! We are firm believers in exchanging energy and would love to provide some meals, cooking, cleaning or anything else that we can do to help out when we are staying with others. If you are staying with us, we are happy to cook a meal, take you around town and/or go exploring with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To date, we have surfed once, and hosted once. We believe that we are here to assist each other, share what we can and create a world that is based on unity and love for each other.

Interests

Meditation, photography, hiking, camping, art, music, enjoying a glass of wine, or beer, and occasionally a cocktail. Sunsets, sunrises. Anything beautiful :)

Quality time with friends. Cooking & consuming delicious foods. Animal lovers. Exploring and adventuring, spontaneity, going with the flow, chatting about life and philosophy, caring and being of service to others in need.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burke (husband) moved from Ohio to California at the age of 19 to be with me and raise my children with me, took a leap of faith and left everything behind!

Shannon (me) risked it all to be with my husband of now 16 years. Our relationship has been an amazing, life changing adventure that keeps evolving and growing. This, and bringing our beautiful daughter into the world are the most amazing things that we have done or will ever do.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mostly just LIFE. Our belief & experience is that we're all here to be teachers to each other, teachers of how to love, grow, be humble, be of service. We enjoy meeting people with real life experiences that we can learn from, and be a reflection for. People who have grown and evolved over their years.

Our love inspires other couples, as well as the way that we raise our daughter to be an absolute free spirit. Husband has internet, graphic design, and photography skills. Wife loves to cook, is artistic, and is a homemaker.
