ABOUT ME

I am outgoing, competitive, talkative, adventurous and always up for a good laugh. I play softball at a competitive level and currently am competing abroad in Holland. I love to party when I get a chance, if I am not training. My friends would say that I am a highly motivated person, who is always up to something and always active. I am always up for a jam session, solid squash game or a paddle on an open lake (True Canadian). I am passionate about sports and love to coach young elite athletes. I am highly interested in training philosphies and physical education. I recently completed my bachelor of education as well as my sport business diploma and looking to teach and compete abroad. I am inspired by many and love to meet new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It all started when travelling with 2 other teammates who needed a chance to dip our toes into learning about European travels on a low budget. This lead to some interesting experiences. Since this first experience, as a female solo traveller, I had been on low budget since deciding to travel in Europe for school/competitions intermittently. I have learned how to be thorough in my couch surfing searches and the impact these connections can have to your travel experience, especially when other accommodations can be inconvenient.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Over the last 4 years of my travel life, I have used couch surfing as my primary way to orient myself with new surrounding. I try to limit my couchsurfing to become savvy in other ways of my travels, but some of my most unique and well cherished moments have been from couch surfing all over Europe. This has also provided me a great connection between people that I will remain in contact till this day. They have also been a great help in providing friends a place to stay as they experience the wonders of this unique community. Again, I have learned to never underestimate the kindness of individuals anywhere you go, we live in a pretty awesome world!

Interests

I enjoy playing the piano on my free time and writing music. I thoroughly enjoy quoting movies when possible. Story telling about my life expereinces and learning about people from different culturues and their story is something I find always intriguing. I bring along my ukulele wherever I travel, whether its for a campfire, lullabye or making up songs about my experiences, it's all for fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies. I don't think I can say anymore as this box will be filled with just several titles. I listen to all kinds of music even right down to classical. I love to listen to live music in a pub and I am a sucker for the accoustic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the opportunity to meet various elite athletes at the professional and Olympic level and can honestly say I am always in awe for what they stand for! I am inspired by talent, people's personalities and their experiences.
