ABOUT ME

I'm currently a English teaching assistant at a middle school in Montauban. As an undergraduate, I studied International Politics and French, and I'm currently applying to graduate programs in Journalism. I'm from Tennessee, but I've been living in Colorado for the last two years. I also studied abroad in Grenoble, France as an undergraduate (super fun!). And since this is a pretty hot topic concerning the states right now, I did not vote for Trump. (American politics = double facepalm right now.)

As a guest: I recognize that my host is letting me into their home, so I respect their schedules, belongings, and house rules. Hosting takes effort, and I want to respect that :) Also, couchsurfing is such a great way to meet new people, so I'm always happy to hang out! I also know that people have lives outside of hosting, so I also always have fun activities in my back pocket if/when my host is busy!

As a tourist: Touristing is awesome, but I never remember cathedrals or paintings as well as I remember the people I saw them with. I try to find a balance between seeing iconic places and exploring the daily goings-on, between experiencing my environment and committing it to memory. Overall, my main goal is just to have fun, meet new people, and try new things!

Depending on my mood, I'm down for a rom-com, thriller, documentary, or award-winner. I only watch horror around Halloween though - not quite my style haha. Can't really help you out with country or pop music either, but I'm always open to explore!

I recently did some solo road trips and travelled through: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Colorado (first trip), then Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee (second trip).
