Heey my name is shanora and I'm 23 years old. I'm currently an au pair from the netherlands and soon a global explorer. My goal is to travel the world in each way possible ones I'm done with my year in America.

I can't host a guest since I'm living with my hostfamily (see in learn and share). So I'm using this app to surf on someone's couch or extra bed. I don't earn a lot of money as an au pair to stay in a hotel everytime I travel so I want to give this a shot and hopefully meet cool people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I'm on couchsurfing is because it's a perfect way to stay in a place and meet the locals. The hosts have lived there for a while and probably knows more about the places than I do. So it's a good opportunity to hear their stories, the reason why they live there, why they moved they or why they stayed in that places. They could also recommend some things to do for the time I'm staying there. It's for me a nicer why to explore the place rather than staying in a hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to name just one thing when I have a lot of amazing things.. I have recently been on a roadtrip to Colorado and have seen so many nice things! One of my favorites was seeing the sunrise at the monument rock in Kansas.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work as an au pair, that is a live in nanny from a foreign country (just incase you have never heard of it) so I basically spent most of my time with the kids. I learn about the American culture and my hostfamily learns some about the netherlands.
