Overview
About Me
I was born in Denver, raised in the Fort, dropped out of high school, got my GED, went to college, moved to Los Angeles to become an actor, made some movies, moved back to Colorado, invested in real estate, bought a ranch, lost everything, worked for a dairy, found my passion, got a bike, started an art gallery, made another movie, lost my marbles, found myself, moved into a temple.
As a freelance artist and video producer, I rarely set my alarm. Setting my own hours allows me to be spontaneous and available to surprising new experiences.
I drink too much coffee and not enough water, I'm trying to quit smoking cigarettes and no longer eat mammals. I may change these habits over the course of the next few years, but probably won't order a BLT ever again.
Telling jokes isn't my thing, but I have a very good sense of humor. My uncle taught me the importance of timing at an early age. I've used this understanding as an actor, but feel like being the "funny guy" can be an exhausting persona to maintain. If I'm performing, I can turn it on, but I prefer situations that emerge as funny in themselves.
Today I am working on my understanding of myself and intrigued by getting to know others.

Music, Movies, and Books
"The Goonies" is my first favorite movie. "The Lego Movie" is the last film I left smiling..."The Act of Killing" is the last film I left crying.
I rarely respond to mainstream music, and my tastes change every 7 years. I might be at the tail end of an indie rock period and beginning to appreciate the sweet sound of a gypsy's accordion. I don't know what I'm talking about anymore. Except Animal Collective. Officially my favorite band as of right...now.
I like consumer non-fiction, slightly-watered-down to medium/hard sci-fi, must-read bestsellers, good books that become bad movies, and what the cool kids tell me to read. I'm currently reading my Facebook feed for good news. Been really disturbed by all the violence in the world.
