Hi my name is Shari and I am from Italy. I'm new on this portal, unfortunately I have no references and I still have to understand how it works. I currently live in Rhode Island since August 2018. In Italy, in the last 5 years, I was managing a Bar but the desire to discover the world and first of all improve my English was too strong. So I decided to leave everything I had to be part of a cultural exchange in the USA. I am living in an american family, in exchange for room and board I take care them kids. (this is the reasons why I can't host anyone).
I am a open minded, respectful, sunny person, I easily adapt myself. I love traveling and sharing culture, experience, I like meet new people. I love cooking, reading, hiking and discovery new places. If you have any question I'll be happy to answer you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I think that traveling is first of all knowing and discovering the different but what remains within each traveler is the human experience of meeting people. I like traveling in an authentic way, not as a normal tourist.

I really like Art in all its form. I love going aroud museums, I studied art history in high school and I've always been fascinated by it. I like rock music mainly, diffent kind of rock music, I saw live band like The Cure, Metallica, Deftons, A Perfect Circle, Fleetwood Mac, Massive Attack, Smashing Pumpkin, Nine Nich Nails..
I like thriller movies or with a challenging storyline: Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, Memento, Seven... but also movie that let you think like Good Will Hunting, Sliding Doors, American Beauty, The Truman Show...
My books of the heart are Siddharta and The Little Prince. I really like Invisible Monster by Chuck Palahniuk and other similar writers.
