ABOUT ME

I'm easy going person who likes to get out and explore the city on my own but enjoy meeting new people and talking about anything under the sun. I'm independent, like to cook and clean up after myself. Work in communications but surprisingly a technophobe with an allergy to social media. But now 2015 my resolution is catch up with the digital age.

The plan is there is no plan!
The question we face is how can I do best given where I am, who I am and what I believe about some basic ethics, norms and values.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been co-hosting for the last two years or so and really enjoy opening our home, meeting new friends and showing them our great city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got into couchsurfing hosting thru my flatmate and have co-hosted dozens of people. Been on the other side too in Martin and Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2013.

Interests

Reading 'how to survive guides' but no boy scout, Town and Transport planning, poker nights, friends, NZ Warriors (rugby league), singing off-key, Quiz nights, Improv Comedy and hot yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything from Uncle Bob Marley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Prince to U2, Pink, Muddy Waters, Country American to Def Leppard. I enjoy reading books about polar explorers like - Sir Earnest Shackelton and Robert F. Scott, authors Paullina Simons, Janet Evanovich and of course the Jack Reacher series (but not with Tom Cruise!) I enjoy a good thriller and a chick flick but enjoyed Life is Beautiful, Blood in Blood out, Pulp Fiction, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Matrix Part 1 and still cant bring myself to watching Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nursing my brother through terminal cancer and watching my family pull together at this time.
Flying to Australia to watch my favourite rugby league team play in the Grand Final after 15 years as a loyal supporter.
