About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Safe the world (in theory), become ever more academically unpractical (in practice)

ABOUT ME

I am always interested in learning about different life experiences, life philosophies, crazy hobbies, good stories, discover new cities, neighborhoods (and bars!). I live in Detroit right now, doing research for my PhD in Sociology. Before I lived in New York for four years, and before that in the Netherlands.

PHILOSOPHY

If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences (Tomas theorem)

Follow your dreams; never settle for less

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Very first impression of New York City; flying over the city at night and seeing all those lights was amazing, although this was more than 4 years ago I still remember how much it excited and impressed me.

Another experience, was traveling to Point Reyes (California) with friends and spotting - very far away, but still - a whale: somehow I was deeply touched by this. Although it was super cold, and it rained and foggy and we were all drenched, I remember this as a perfect weekend.
