ABOUT ME

We are a married couple, early thirties, who have left our old live behind. We are traveling the world for an indefinite time, learning about spirituality, other cultures, volunteering, meeting many cool people, and searching for adventures. Over the years we have traveled all over Europe, the US, several countries in Central America, the middle east, Caribbean Islands, North Africa, and India.
We have spent 2009 traveling in Asia, mostly in India, our favorite country in the world. We stayed in Ashrams, meditation centers, spiritual communities (Auroville), and also did a lot of sightseeing and some trekking. We both love animals, exploring nature, scuba-diving, hiking, skiing, camping, cooking, eating, yoga, reading. We are about to go to El Salvador,a country we fell in love with, to try and work there, perfect our Spanish, enjoy the amazing people and culture, and volunteer with the local community.
We have been living in El Salvador for over a year, teaching English, improving our Spanish, and experiencing Central America.
When we eventually return to the "real world", we are planning to move back to the US where one of us plans on becoming a child psychologist and the other plans on becoming a writer/astrologer.

Update- we are about to return to the real world! Leaving El Salvador, moving to New York. More updates to come...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have couch surfed in Thailand, Vietnam and Guatemala and made great friends through this site. We are looking forwards to hosting people and introducing them to this amazing country we now call home. We would also love to meet other couchsurfers in our area and in general other people with a similar mind-set.

Update- we are on our way out of El Salvador so we will not be able to host anymore! Sorry. We would love to host again once we settle down in our future location.

Observed wild elephants and a leopard in Tamil Nadu, visited energy healers in south India, Went over the highest pass in the world in the Himalaya mountains, began awakening our consciousness in a silent meditation in a Buddhist monastery, swam with dolphins and nurse sharks.
