About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Ice skate on a frozen lake
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, happy, open-minded and independent kinda girl. I really enjoy long intelligent conversations about almost anything and everything and often find myself talking to strangers on trains, planes and other modes of transport.
When I'm not travelling I live with my partner in a leafy Melbourne suburb and we grow vegetables that I can't eat due to food intolerances.
PHILOSOPHY
Trust my instincts and follow my intuition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I meet other CS'ers and entertain them with silly stories and funny anecdotes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Finland and Norway and have met some of the most generous and wonderful people! It has been such a positive experience that I turn all mushy and emotional just thinking about it.
Interests
I'm a designer so obviously love all things creative, but have a special place in my heart (and most of my wardrobe) for fashion and shoes.
I love learning new skills and tend to follow my passions. My hobbies include ice hockey, machine knitting, ballet (I'm still a novice) and photography.
I'm also trying to start a small fashion label with machine knitted garments.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like arty and/or foreign films and books that make you think.
The best book I've read in the last two years is Antifragile by Nasim Taleb.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a 5 day return trip to Nordkapp by hitchhiking! It was more due to budget constraints than choice but it turned into an unforgettable experience.
I take my hat off to the amazing Finns and Norwegians who gave me a lift, fed me, found my camera, showed me their favourite ski resort, gave me ice cream and saved me the 2 entry fees to Nordkapp.
I also quit my job to go traveling. Twice. It's not really an amazing thing to do but I highly recommend it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to knit (thanks to the amazing Pia!) and will be happy to take you ice skating any time.
I'd love to learn more languages (starting with French) and learn how to play the piano.
