About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To feel at home again in Cork and rediscover Ireland through new eyes.

ABOUT ME

Halfway between a travelling hobo and a professional and trying to find a happy balance.

PHILOSOPHY

Always try new things and stretch yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I´ve many friends who are involved and though I haven't had the chance to host yet, I often show couchsurfers around wherever it is that I happen to be living at the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very very positive. Sound people with stories to tell and food/wine to share. Such a more authentic way to travel and you get straight to the best bits. No messin around;)

Interests

Travelling, travelling travelling, chatting to randomers, nature, food, sports, yoga, knitting, films, music, pretending I can speak Spanish.

Music, Movies, and Books

The movie: Lost in Translation
The book: The Last Step, The American Ascent of K2 (there´s a personal story..)
The music: An Irish trad session in some old man´s pub along the coast....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled with very little money and put my faith in humanity.

I learned three very important things 1) I had no idea what I was capable of 2) People can be absolutely amazing 3) Sometimes ignorance works in your favour (see point 1)

Teach, Learn, Share

Try and do this everyday.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Apart from the pleasure of good ol fashioned conversation and storytelling, I've often shared my passion for knitting hats. I´m also a culture vulture and love to be outdoors so will gladly jump on any excursion bandwagon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belize, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, India, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Peru, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States
