About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience not just new, but vastly different cultures. Also find a new apartment in a new city, where I can start hosting folks again!
ABOUT ME
My name is Sharon -- I work at a not-for-profit company in New York, but I'm looking for a job somewhere else along the Eastern seaboard. It's time for a change! I've traveled quite a bit but not enough, and have lived in Spain and Israel. I live with two other girls my age on the Upper West Side of NYC near Columbia University, Central Park, Riverside Drive, and more!
PHILOSOPHY
Give everyone a chance. They might connect you to someone else who could change your life, if they don't themselves. Who knows.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Without CouchSurfing, my travels would not have been nearly as amazing as they were, and I hope to offer others the same experience.
Also-- I'm sad to say I can't host for now. I'm making plans to leave NYC :(
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've only surfed with four or five people, but they were the best! Everyone was so helpful- both times I was picked up outside of the person's home, either at the airport or the bus stop, so that I would know exactly where I was going, then was given tours around town, invited to parties or beach barbeques, just had a great time.
Interests
Learning new languages, especially those of the countries I want to visit. I'm pretty good at Spanish, now know a bit of Hebrew, and can sing Head Shoulders Knees and Toes in French.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling through India, my friend and I adopted a puppy who had been abandoned. We fixed her up, fell in love, and ended up bringing her back to the States with us where we found a lovely veterinarian to adopt her!
