About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be a sponge...soak everything up!
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty reliable and trustworthy person. I have my wits about me, and I'm always aware of my surroundings. I'm pretty easy to talk to, and can have fun doing just about anything, as long as I have good people by my side. The more I travel, the more I learn about the cultural differences that separate us, but it always amazes me how, everywhere you go, people are essentially the same. They eat, they joke around, they go to work and wash their clothes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just getting started! I would like to start hosting once I get settled.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed with a friend about 5 years ago, but I recently met a few couchsurfers and decided that my upcoming trip to Spain would be a great opportunity to dive back in!
Interests
Food, languages, the outdoors, places of historical importance, community advocacy. I spend my time observing and participating in these things as much as I can. I like to cook and eat. I practice my Spanish as much as I can, would like to learn another language, and enjoy learning about linguistic roots. I travel, and though I prefer to live in the city, I love the countryside, and really anything in between. There are a few social issues that are close to my heart, and I try to positively contribute to the communities I live in or travel to whenever possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My last day in Asturias, at the end of my semester studying abroad, my host mom took me to her family's summer house near Covadonga. Surrounded by rolling green hills, Picos de Europa as the backdrop, sun shining down on a perfectly warm day. We ate a lunch of fried fish and grilled Padrón peppers with salt, washed down with some red wine. Fell asleep on the back porch after we ate, cow bells ringing in the distance. I don't know if life gets much better.
