Hi there!

I'm Sharyn :) I'm a bit of a jackie of many creative trades, a wearer of many hats. I sell vintage and upcycled goods, do tiny watercolor paintings (now I'm painting small as opposed to my 6 ft hand-built canvases in college). I'm a huge sweet tooth. Strawberries are my favorite fruit. Alpine lakes are my favorite kind of lakes. All creeks are magical. My film camera collection keeps growing full of half-broken cameras to test that sit in my room as decor for years. But I still photograph all the time. I work and teach in a community darkroom. I curate events and art shows. The list goes on.. Anyways, I used to travel a lot and I'm slowly getting back out there as everything opens back up. I'm fully vaxxed and all that. I also respect body autonomy and personal choice as long as people respect mine :) This is a platform to embrace different cultures after all and I'm always interested in learning peoples stories.

Books: I prefer non-fiction. Pretty much anything about art history, photography, fine/contemporary/conceptual art, cooking, philosophy/psychology, autobiographies, travel stories, memoirs, etc. I just want to understand the world I'm in. I want to take it all in and I can only hope to give enough back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved a child from drowning when I was 5. Her father worked at a factory that made trophies and made me a golden and purple trophy that says "Sharyn Lifeguard". So I guess from an early age I've had the inclination to help people . ^_^
