Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted surfers in Seoul, Korea, where I lived for 2 years. I have just returned home to Canada after beign away for a long time!! I am presently finsihing my teaching degree near Niagara Falls!! I live at home with my mom, so the couch probably isn't available, unless I've spoken to you about it. But I love being a tour guide, so look me up if you come to Toronto or Niagara!! In the fall, when I get my own apt, and actually have a couch, (CAN'T WAIT)--I'll let you know. Hope to see you on the road!! I'll be lookin'!! Safe Surfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in Seoul with 3 other people and we have hosted 5 people. I am embarked on my first couch surfing experience myself, during an extended layover in Tokyo on my way home to Canada for Christmas. It was great!! I traveled through South East Asia for a long time, alone and with friends, mostly staying at local hotels, not many couchsurfers in Myanmar :) Now I am back in Canada, living the life of a student and can't wait to be done this summer! Then I'll stick around the Niagara area, and work for the summer. I love Niagara; the falls, the country, the wineries...IF you pass through, look me up and I'll see if I can squeeze in a wine tasting or 2.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:LOVE EM!!!!! I have so many "classics" here in Seoul to keep me in touch with my memories of the 80s and memories of family and home. Always keep those things in your life that make you feel young again....Reality Bites, When Harry Met Sally, and anything with John Cusack. Pretty much any movie (except Sean of the Dead) allows me to appreciate something about it, somehow.
BOOKS-oh no-the list is even longer. Most recently, The Kite Runner, but it is a close second to my 2 favourite novels: The Reader; Bernard Schlinck, and The Pilot's Wife; Anita Shreve. Music?? Well I haven't time for downloading and have had the same artist on my Mp3 player for over a year, but with the limited music selection in Seoul clubs...I am delighted when I hear anything other than hip-hop....Give me a great alternative radio station or The Velvet Underground club from Queen St. West in Toronto, and I'd be happy dancing anywhere in the world..:0
