Music, Movies, and Books

Currently tripping on Jazz, Classical, Prog and Post Rock. In general music from all genres fill up my collection. Favourites:
Jazz - Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck (you guessed it, a pianist here), Snarky Puppy, Louis Armstrong, Sinatra.
Classical - Chopin, Bach, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Ludovico Einaudi.
Prog - Pink Floyd (duh), TesseracT, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater.
Post Rock - Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros

Movies ranging from psychological thrillers to mysteries: A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Also - La La Land, though I think it's mostly because of the jazz score.

I like reading historical non-fiction with heavy touches of story-telling. Case in point - The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, India After Gandhi: The History of the World's Largest Democracy. Amongst fiction my favourites are - To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984 and Animal Farm (very relevant now), The Shadow Lines, Bell Jar. Currently reading The Book of Disquiet (Fernando Pessoa) and Autobiography of a Yogi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Does surviving in this world for a fifth of a century count?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my bit of knowledge about Indian history, politics, arts, and music or a few word in the languages I know. I can also teach you to play the piano/read music or even coding (if that is your thing). Also, bonuses include riding a bike without holding the handlebars and a fair share of amusing stories.

Open to learning anything under the sun, the weirder the better!
