I'm a lover of travel, always seeking new adventure. I try to spend as much of my free time as possible outdoors - you can usually find me hiking, surfing, climbing or playing just about any sport. When I'm indoors it's usually in the kitchen trying to create fun and tasty treats to eat and drink, and listening to or creating good music.

A friend recently showed couchsurfing to me and I loved the concept. Realizing I likely want to use it to travel one day, I thought the properly karmic thing to do was to open up a space at my house when it's available. Love meeting new people and showing them my amazing city.

Stood at the base of Salto Angel - the world's tallest waterfall - in Canaima, Venezuela, enduring the near hurricane strength wind and water-spray caused by the force of that much water falling over 3,000 ft.

I'm very handy in the kitchen and love to share my creations as well as teach others how to do it. Let's go surfing. Experienced hiker and I'd love to see where you go or take you on some local trails - I've been on nearly all of them. I'm a lover of almost all things music and am down to chat about contemporary science fiction, the mass incarceration of young people in the deep South, Greek mythology or something in between.
