Resumen
Sobre mí
I am a 6th grade English Literature teacher in Amman, Jordan and I love it! When I have breaks during the school year or in the summer I like to travel to as many new countries as I can afford and I would love to meet some new people along the way.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing was recommended to me by a good friend and avid user who has had many great experiences while traveling around the world. She insisted that I give it a try, so here I am. I would like to meet new people through both hosting and being hosted.

Música, películas y libros
My favorite song is Cleopatra by The Lumineers and I am a fan of folk music like Of Monsters and Men, Mumford & Sons and other similar bands. I'm also fond of some Arabic/Egyptian music and Fairouz, although I don't listen to it as frequently.
I'm not sure I have a favorite book but I have really enjoyed some of these books recently: 100 Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera, Ishmael, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Cutting for Stone, The 40 Rules of Love, Half a Yellow Sun, and Island Beneath the Sea.
My favorite movie is Life is Beautiful and I enjoy films that portray authentic characters. I recently watched the film 'Blue Jay' and found it incredibly emotional and authentic in its portrayal of two old friends meeting after a long time apart.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I learned Levantine Arabic and have lived in Jordan for more than four years.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I can share my ideas and experiences coming out of many years living in the Middle East. I am fairly well read and love to have discussions/debates. It should be fun!
