My name is Shaun and I was born and raised in Perth, Australia. Travelling is one of my biggest passions. I love experiencing new cultures and ways of life. I have a strong interest in music and sports, and love to surf and play guitar. I have a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) and also have a Diploma of Education (Primary/Elementary). I currently work as a primary/elementary school teacher but have previously worked as a lifeguard and at a summer camp in California.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've stayed in around 30-40 hostels in my travels and have found that sometimes you don't get to properly see the city/area from a local perspective when hanging out with other tourists. When staying with friends of mine in different parts of the world, it has been really enjoyable seeing their perspectives on the area and getting their advice. I think couch surfing would be a great way to meet awesome, new people, make friends and live a bit more like a local.
