Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of the most amazing things I have ever done was doing medical aid in the Solomon Islands when I was deployed there in 2008.
I was able to experience things I would never have been able to do back home in Australia.
We would go to remote villages, some a days hike through the jungle and bring happiness and help to some of the poorest people in the world.
I was even lucky enough to do a day in the emergency ward in the main hospital (an old WW2 field Hospital) in Honiara and scrub in to assist a local surgeon in 2 operations!
The 4 months I was there, were the most fulfilling time in my life.
