Hey couchsurfers! I’m a 28 year old med student from the US who is staying in Barcelona this summer for research. Before med school I was a paramedic in Los Angeles and I saw a lot of crazy stuff. Before that job I studied Anthropology and was enlightened to the awesome diversity of the world’s people. And before THAT, I was just a kid of a mixed race heritage growing up in California. Annndddddd before that, well, I didn't exist!

With my anthro and paramedic background, I’ve decided to dedicate my life toward helping improve the common human condition. Indeed, I am equal to anyone else in this world, and it’s my job to help allow others to have the opportunities I have as a member of the industrialized world (US, Europe, Oceania, etc).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm really into people and cultures, and I figured couchsurfing is the best way to meet cool locals. It's my first time cs'ing, but I'm thinking it'll help me be more immersed in the place I'm visiting!

I also really want to become fluent in Spanish. I'm here for 6 weeks, and together we can make it happen!

兴趣

I have at least a million interests!! Some broad subjects include global health, learning about the amazing diversity of the world’s cultures, anthropology stuff, philosophy, politics. I also dig music, especially because I once was a singer and sax player!

This section seems like it’s here to either promote arrogance or modesty, so I’m going to balance out my amazing thing with something that’s not so amazing. I’ve delivered babies in the back of the ambulance while it was heading to the hospital. But on the other hand, I don’t know how to play soccer.
